Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 3, 2026

1. Who we are

Worshipper Connect is operated by Deja Holley (“we”, “us”), the sole proprietor and data controller responsible for the Service. Worshipper Connect is a Christian music-ministry platform that connects worship leaders, music directors, worship pastors, vocalists, instrumentalists, and ministries for jobs, fill-ins, and ministry collaboration.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, password (hashed), and authentication tokens.
  • Profile information: role, instrument(s), city/state, bio, ministry affiliation, honorarium range, availability, profile picture, audio/video clips, and other content you provide.
  • Content you submit: announcements, posts, messages, reviews, job listings, set lists, schedules, and roster information.
  • Usage data: pages visited, referrer, browser/user-agent, approximate timestamps, and basic device info used for analytics and security.
  • Communications: messages you send through the Service.
  • Billing data: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card number, billing address, tax info) are collected directly by our payment processor Paddle, not by us. We receive only the transaction outcome, plan, and a customer reference.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To connect members for ministry bookings and collaboration.
  • To moderate content and enforce our Terms.
  • To send transactional and ministry-related notifications you've opted into.
  • To produce aggregated analytics (e.g., signups, visits).
  • To process subscription payments and manage your account billing status.
  • To comply with law and protect rights and safety.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to create your account, provide the Service, and process subscription payments you have ordered.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, produce aggregated analytics, and improve features.
  • Consent: for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies, where applicable.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and other applicable laws.

5. Sharing

We share information with other members only as part of the Service (e.g., your public profile is visible to others; your messages are visible to the recipient). We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  • Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”) — our Merchant of Record: Paddle is the reseller of our subscriptions and acts as the merchant of record for all paid orders. Paddle receives the personal and payment data needed to process the sale, manage your subscription, handle billing, calculate and remit sales tax/VAT, issue invoices and refunds, and prevent fraud. Paddle acts as an independent data controller for that processing under its own Privacy Notice.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar advisers when reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard practices including encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

7. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can edit or remove most profile information at any time from your profile page.
  • You can request account deletion by emailing us.
  • Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, and withdrawal of consent). Contact us to exercise them.
  • For billing-related data held by Paddle, you can also exercise your rights directly with Paddle via paddle.net.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party analytics to count visits and signups and to improve the Service. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

10. Data retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After deletion, some records may be retained for legal, security, or backup purposes for a limited time. Billing and tax records held by Paddle are retained per Paddle's policies and applicable law.

11. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
